Lightspan was formed in June 2002 by Paul Bold after seeing deficiency in the advice consultants were able to offer. Paul’s 13 years experience lies in structural engineering, but he has a detailed knowledge of all aspects of building and construction.

Lightspan was formed to service a need in the market – experienced construction professionals offering advice to all sectors of the market, from the rookie would be self builder, to the most demanding commercial clients, over all aspects of the building process.

Lightspan is able to draw on the experience of many construction professionals, including engineers, draughtsmen, designers (both architectural, interior and landscape) and more importantly, contractors to carry out the work.

All of the people working for Lightspan have many years experience in the construction industry. All are talented and down to earth people who are able to provide cost effective, practical and above all, best practice solutions to all construction problems.

Most of the professionals have worked on buildings that have won awards, and all have extensive site and management experience.

In addition, we are able to use affiliated specialised design consultants, for example Timber Frame engineering, where needed.

All work is covered by Public Indemnity Insurance.
